Willingen (sid)
The new Muehlenkopframp in Willingen is the largest ramp in the world. The new rampcertificate of the international ski association, FIS, which is valid until December 31, 2005, shows an installation rebuilt for eleven million Marks with a jury width of 143 meters.

Only 5 ski jumping ramps surpass this ramp: Planica/Slovenia (215m), Oberstdorf (211m), Vikersund/Norway (205m), Bad Mitterndorf/Austria (203m), and Harracov (185m).

Among the ski jumping ramps in Germany: Neustadt (142m), Oberhof (officially 133 at the present - but could still increase), Oberstdorf (123) and Garmisch-Partenkirchen (121) in positions.

These numbers are gathered from the latest list of the according jumping ramps for international competitions of the FIS in the winter of 2000/2001.

The Muehlenkopf ramp will be officially christened at the double world cup on February 2 to 4 2001, for which chancellor Gerhard Schroeder took over the patronage.

50.000 admission tickets have already been sold for this big event.
